Ulysses and his companions are captured by one-eyed cyclops Polyphemus, son of Poseidon, in his cave.
On their odyssey Ulysses and his companions also reach the land of the Cyclades. While exploring the island, the men come across a flock of sheep and follow them into a cave. There they are surprised and captured by the master of the cave, the one-eyed cyclops Polyphemus. In order to escape, Ulysses devises a ruse, he gets Polyphemus drunk with wine and stabbs out his only eye. Full of anger, the blinded giant sits down in front of the cave entrance to prevent the Greeks from escaping. But Ulysses and his friends quickly attach themselves to the sheep running out of the cave and are so able to outwit Polyphemus.
The play set consists of Ulysses with sword, cyclops Polyphemus and a sheep.
